Brazil Low-Caf, Omni Roast 250gr

BRAZIL DATERRA LOW CAF OMNI Instead of going down the Decaf route we have decided to try something different! This coffee is from Daterra farms and grown at between 1149 and 1150masl. It is a blend of the Laurina variety and Aramosa varietal, which is a crossbreed between Arabica and the lesser known Racemosa. Both are naturally low in caffeine: between 0.3% and 0.75% (unroasted) compared to 1.2% to 1.6% for Arabica and 2.2% for Robusta. This lot is a natural, aerobic maceration process, although in the cup it is clean and bright and a little floral with notes of toasted hazelnut and milk chocolate

Rwanda Gasharu Washed, Espresso 250gr

RWANDA GASHARU WASHED ESPRESSO ESPRESSO Green tea, blackcurrant, and honey - that’s an interesting cup of Rwanda. We’ve been buying the coffee from Valentin Kimenyi’s washing station Gasharu for a couple of years now, and we’re always impressed not just by the experimental lots, but also the washed. This washed Bourbon is a testament to that; clean with a high sweetness, the education Kimenyi offers to locals farmers brings about higher graded cups and a better outcome for the farmers themselves. Whilst the washing station sits at 1670masl, the surrounding farms that bring their coffees to Gasharu Central Washing Station sit at 1600 - 2100 masl in the Nyamasheke District. Stumping (the cutting of older tree branches to make way for healthier, new ones) helps drive the high quality of the coffees, and once the cherries reach the station they’re processed by an experienced female workforce.

The drawing of the cinchona tree on the label highlights its main ingredient and origin.”

Very stubborn stains and spots can sometimes be removed with diluted chlorine and lime remover. Dark lines in the glaze (usually caused by silverware) can be removed by scrubbing with a sponge with dish soap and baking soda. Grease stains on matte glaze can be removed with baking soda and water. If greasy fingerprints appear, rub the exposed porcelain with food safe oils, let sit, then clean with soap and water. It is very important (and we highly suggest) that you let boiling water settle (stop rolling/bubbling) before pouring it into a tableware item - especially a hand made piece. If the item is very cold to the touch, we also suggest pre-heating it with hot tap water. Pouring boiling water directly into a cool handmade cup, bowl or mug may cause the item / glaze to crack.
